The Naked Violence by Mert & Marcus ft. Naomi Campbell

So I had posted this entry before however I accidentally deleted this, so I'm posting again. :(

I love these photos by talented duo, Mert & Marcus of Naomi Campbell. I'm not too keen on Campbell however she looks stunning here. The storyline is also very intriguing, brutal yet strangely sexy. This is something you would see from Steven Klein however M&M have embraced sex & violence into fashion. The concept was Russian-Mafia inspired and you can see positions of torture but also sensuality. Like the photo below, a naked bloody man looks like his neck is dislocated but between Campbell's legs. The setting is also amazing and the dark teal/turquoise tones adds to the atmosphere. The angles are very interesting and would be one of the best editorials from Interview Magazine this year.

Flight of the Conchords are Awesome!

Was just browsing icon_ology and came across this awesome shoot of New Zealand duo by Matthias Clamer. Their songs and TV comedy is genius and pure brilliance! My favourite is Bret McKenzie (the bearded dude) but of course Jemaine Clement (the glasses dude) is pretty damn cool too. :) Their 'snazzy' retro tunes and crazy awesome lyrics makes this pair lovable. They bill themselves as "formerly New Zealand's fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo". Like I said, genius!

Love the layering effect in this photo. It certainly looks 'disorientated'. Just realized its lomography. The varying blue tones create an sombre atmosphere and the many bodies in the photo makes this photograph interesting to look at.  This photo is of Zagar band in Innsbruck. It also has a creepy feel to them which I really like and the double exposure effect.
